Natural Disaster Claims Locations
For claims arising in the financial year.
- A very quiet year with around half the average number of claims for each of the past five years.
- A magnitude 5.6 earthquake centred 20km east of Woodville on January 26 generated the most claims from an individual event, 101 in total at a cost of $226,134.

Notes:
Storm and flood were only separated out from mid-2001 onwards. Therefore average figure shown is only for two years. Financial Statements disclose claims payments made and incurred in the financial year, so figures are different from those in this table.
