Statement of Responsibility
The financial statements of the Earthquake Commission have been prepared in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standards and Statements of Standard Accounting Practice issued by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of New Zealand and generally accepted accounting practices. To the best of our knowledge and belief they present the Commission’s financial position as at 30 June 2004 and the results and cash flows from its operations for the period then ended, in a true and fair manner.
The Commission has complied with all statutory provisions relating to its operations during the year ended 30 June 2004.
The Commission has maintained a system of internal controls which can be relied upon to ensure information is produced for financial reporting which has integrity and is reliable.
