This report describes the development of a computer program for architects to determine requirements for wind and earthquake lateral load resisting structure for low to medium-rise New Zealand buildings.
Information for architects by way of design guides that can provide more general lateral load resisting structural information for commonly used structural systems and materials, appropriate to a preliminary design stage, is also presented and discussed.
