Renée Walker, Deputy Chief Executive, Readiness and Recovery

This group manages EQC’s customer claims, communications and engagement functions.  The group facilitates open, honest relationships with strategic partners including government agencies, insurance industry colleagues, local and regional councils, and our customers – those affected by a loss at the time of a natural hazard event, and all New Zealanders.

Paul Jepson, Deputy Chief Executive, Systems Transformation

The Systems Transformation Group supports EQC staff through technology and facilities to make sure New Zealanders get the help they expect and need from us. The group provides our information technology, data, analytics and facilities functions.

Chris Chainey, Chief Financial Officer

Chris Chainey leads the Risk and Financing group which manages agreements with international reinsurers, and provides financial, risk and procurement expertise to the organisation.

Sharlene Taylor, Chief People Officer (Interim), People, Culture & Capability

Sharlene leads the People, Culture & Capability group (inclusive of Health, Safety, Security & Wellbeing), based in our Wellington and Christchurch locations. Sharlene’s role is to ensure that EQC has the right people, culture and capability to deliver its strategic vision and future operating model.
