If you would like further information or wish to discuss the outcome of EQC’s land damage assessment or settlement further, you can:

  • call us on 0800 326 243 between the hours of 7am to 9pm Monday to Friday, and 8am to 6pm on Saturday;

  • email us at info@eqc.govt.nz;

  • request a face-to-face appointment by calling or emailing us using the contact information above.

Support agencies outside EQC

You may wish to seek assistance from one of the support agencies outside EQC listed below:

  • The Canterbury Support Line provides support for a range of social and wellbeing issues, including access to support and information for dealing with earthquake-related matters. Call the Support Line on 0800 777 846, open 24 hours every day, for free and confidential information, support, counselling and connection to emergency services. The Helpline team will refer you to an appropriate agency who may be able to assist.

  • The Residential Advisory Service (RAS) provides free, impartial advice to residential property owners. Call RAS on (03) 379 7027 or 0800 777 299, or visit www.advisory.org.nz.
