EQC Update for our customers: COVID-19

In response to Government directives and advice, we are planning that our team will be working from home this week until further notice. We wish to reassure our customers that staff will still have access to all of the information they need to be able to continue their work, and all personal information will still be treated with the same stringent levels of security.

While we are in this state of transition with staff members working from different locations, the best way to contact us is via email or phone. Your best contact is the person managing your claim or, if you are not sure who to contact, our team is available on and 0800 DAMAGE (326 243) or +64 4 978 6400 if you are calling from overseas.

Face-to-face meetings and site visits will continue, but our approach to these will be reviewed regularly and may change.

The health, safety and wellbeing of our people, partners, and customers is our top priority in these challenging times. It is important that we are aware if you fall into the following risk categories outlined by the Government:

  • Returned from overseas within the last 14 days
  • Are in self isolation
  • Currently unwell
  • Over 70 years of age
  • Have compromised immune system (or any member of your immediate family), and/or 
  • Have underlying health conditions

We will be unable to meet with you face-to-face at this time, however we do have alternate ways to connect with you.
