Research GuidelinesOur largest investment at close to $14 million is in GeoNet. We also contribute funding to regional programmes such as Determining Volcanic Risk in Auckland (DEVORA) and It’s Our Fault in Wellington and major data projects like the National Seismic Hazard Model and New Zealand Geotechnical Database.
Funding for our Biennial Grants and University Research Programmes is selected based on alignment with our areas of research interest outline in in accordance with the EQC Research Priorities Investment Statement [PDF, 1.4 MB].
We also contribute funding to key events that bring scientists, policy makers, community decision makers and industry together to share knowledge and ideas for action.
